Pink Princess Nail Art

Today's style: Pink Princess

Trying a new style and I am super excited about this one!
Please allow me to guide you on making this nail art on your own nails.

Step 1 - After you applied your nail base you start off with a bright pink
or a white glitter nail polish. I personally started with the a bright pink polish.
Only one layer will do. If its not bright enough: Coat it once more.

Step 2 - For this step you can use a make-up sponge, its only optional.
To create a gradient effect you want a more deeper color, also with glitter in it.
So make sure this pink nail polish is middle to dark pink, with enough pigment.
Start at the tip of your nail and slowly build up towards the middle of the nail.
One coat of the darker pink won't do most of the times, so you may need more coats.

Now you have created the gradient it should look like this:

Step 3 - Get your pink-glitter-in-see-through nail polish ready.
Try to find one with big and obvious glitters so they will be better noticeable.
You want the rest of the substance of this polish to be see through.
Otherwise the gradient you've just made would have been a waste of time obviously.
I decided to do this polish in one thick line, from a bottom corner to the top corner.
On my left hand the lines are like this: \
And on my right hand the lines are like this: /
You can do both hands the same if you like. I did it like this since it felt easier to do.

Now your nails should look like this:

Step 4 - Don't forget your topcoat. This helps your glitters from flaking.
Use a colorless/see through topcoat for this look: no glittery one.
You don't want to interrupt the creation you've just made.
Now you're done! Have fun with your brand new princess nails. :)

TIPS FOR MAKING A GRADIENT:

When working with a sponge, make sure you put the polish on some paper first.
Dab the excessive polish on the paper before you apply it on your nails.
You want the gradient to look as natural as possible!
Always start at the tip of your nail and work your way towards the middle.

If you work without a sponge and use the brush of the polish itself:
Don't start with too much polish on your brush! Its easier to add than to remove.
Start by wiping most of the polish on your tip, leaving your brush almost empty.
Start as quick as you can with wiping from the middle to the tip with the half-empty brush.
That way you start in the middle with a really thin coat, so it will look like a blend.
Slowly divide the rest of the polish on the tip of your nail. Then add more layers etc.

Advice For Curls

Hey guys, finally I'm back again.
Here are some photos I took while curling my moms hair.
After the photos we did comb the entire hair through of course.
I actually wanted to make a video about this, but I felt a little ill these days.
Because I have exams coming up, which makes me feel a bit stressed out.
Okay so lets get started already. I know getting those big wavy girls is hard also.
I just wanted to give you ten tips and facts about achieving the best curls.

Here are 10 tips/facts you should know about curling your hair:

1. Don't go cheap on heating irons. I've tried all kids of irons before to be honest.
And I've tried many cheaper sideways to get the same result, which failed.
Also, cheap heating irons destroy and fry your hair instead of just heating it.
Always be sure to buy a ceramic one! Those won't leave your hair tips ruined.

2. Do use heating protection spray or mouse. Just make sure it can stand 220 c.
If you're not planning on using a heating iron I think 200 c is fine too for blow drying.
However, I use both methods so I just buy a spray that protects me up to 200 c.

3. Don't put the heating iron in your hair when its still wet or damp.
You will literally burn your hair if you do! Make sure your hair is completely dry.
I personally prefer to wait for my hair to dry instead of blow drying it.
If you blow dry AND use iron heating it will be too much for my hair, which is fragile.

4. When curling your hair with a heating iron, do it in sections to keep it organized.
Try it put up at least half of your hair like I did with my mom in the photos above.
You are less likely to forget any pieces of your hair, which looks really weird.
And also you won't curl the same hair pieces double. Which I did in the beginning. LOL.

Which leads me to tip number five . . .

5. Avoid curling the same pieces of hair double. When I was still learning
to use a heating iron I discovered this. If you heat it twice its most likely to lose its
curl within an hour or so, depending on the structure and thickness of the hair.
Only the first time you heat it, the hair will always do as you please.
But if you accidentally heat it again you'll see often it will result in a straight piece.

6. For big and wavy curls I recommend a flat iron or a thick curling iron.
Use the flat iron if you have thin and/or half short hair.
And use the thick curling iron if have tick and/or long hair.
I used to use the flat iron on my moms hair, since it just reaches her shoulders.
I mostly use the thick curling iron on my own hair since its longer.

7. For curls without heating I'd suggest showering in the evening, and
then sleep with braids, which will dry eventually and result to soft curls.
Please keep in mind that small braids create small curls. Also pay attention to
the top of your braid: keep it loose, otherwise it looks odd when its dry.
If your hair can stand a little heat you should also shower whenever you like,
then braid in the size you want your curls to be or put in rollers etc.
And then blow dry it after you sprayed heat protection spray all over.

This is me with curls that are made without any heating:

8. Don't use a heating iron every week. Try to use it once per month.
I know it sounds disappointing to the curl freaks out there, but think if your hair.
Specially if you recently dyed it try to avoid heating your hair as well.
Please keep in mind that your hair is easily dry and really fragile.

9. The best way to finish off your curls is setting it with hairspray.
This way the curls have a little support so they excist longer.
Try to find a hairspray that is specially made for after heating your hair.
For example TAFT has the Heidi Klum heat protection hair line, which is ideal.
Try to find a spray that doesn't dry sticky or hard. Don't spray too much either.
If you do, your hair will become heavy and the curls will vanish sooner.

10. Do not use any conditioner on the day you're going to curl your hair.
Conditioner will make the hair more heavy as well, just like too much hairspray.
This rule basicly counts for any heat protection hairproduct as well.

If you have any more questions about curling your hair, feel free to ask.
Please enjoy curling your hair and I hope it turns out better with these tips/facts!

I've been trying out the Aussie "Aussome Volume" shampoo and conditioner,
and I think I loved it since the bottles are totally empty right now.
Felt like the right moment to make a review about it.

Appearance:
Clean design, loving the small kangaroos on it.

What the package says:
For fine, limp hair. With Australian hops Extract. Our new lightweight
formula, with extract of Australian Hops, leaves your hair with body and fullness from roots
to tips while making it Aussomely conditioned. Bring on the Big Hair.

My hair type:
Super duper straight, half-long and fine. Little dry.

What it did for me:
I know all my life I will never get any noticeable volume from a
simple shampoo, conditioner, hair mask or any other washing/rinsing products.
But I wanted to try this nevertheless to see if this somehow could make my hair 'thicker'.
And as I expected that was true, because it didn't bring any volume to my hair.
However, I was really pleased with the effect on my tips, which are really dry at the moment.
So if you have damaged hair by dying I'd recommend these products as well.
These products are a little more expensive than 'l Oréal perhaps, but work much better!

What I like:
- The small kangaroos on the package.
- The scent of the products. Smells like flowers, nothing too strong.
- Takes GOOD care of my dried out tips.

What I dislike:
- The conditioner leaves your hair rather flat than 'big'.
- My hair got very greasy rather quickly at the end/middle of the day.

Missha M Perfect Cover

Missha M Perfect Cover
No. 23 (Natural Beige)
SPF 42

What the package says:
"This M Perfect Cover BB Cream makes your skin tone clean and natural by concealing blemishes with excellent skin coverage. It is a multi functional make up cream with blocking UV rays, whitening and wrinkle care effects and simplifies makeup formalities. Its moisturized application with W/S texture makes sleek skin tone while supplying moisture and nutrition at the same time."

This is my skin type:
Combination skin. Rather dry in the morning, tends to get oily during the day.
I also have a highly sensitive skin and I easily have break-outs.

My reaction at first use:
Its the first time ever that I'm using a blemish balm and I was extremely curious about this type of "beauty" product. At first I asked around for a bit to see what my friends are currently using and if they would recommend it to me. Only one or two Dutch/Chinese friends were using the Missha blemish balms and they claimed to be in love with this. So I ordered this one right away and I was excited at first use. "This feels smooth and smells fantastic!" Though I was worried about the colors available. I already ordered the most fair one and this one is really too dark for me. If you have a fair skin tone I recommend to use an extremely fair toned concealing power to finish your look or finish with a highlighter if you need to.

After several months of use:
I still use this blemish balm for busy days where I need to look my best. For example, at school or at work. I learned that for me its best not to fully cover my face with this balm since it will look like a tanned/brown mask on my face. I just use this on my cheeks, eyes, neck and nose to reduce the redness I have on my face. Since this balm has a grayish tone to it, it will work if you want to reduce warmth in your face. If you're lacking color I wouldn't recommend this balm. I also tend to avoid putting this on my forehead since the SPF is high and way too oily for me.

What I like:
- The scent, it smells really good and baby-like
- The texture, its easy to apply on your face
- Great coverage, it really balances your skin tone

What I dislike:
- The colors available (avoid if you have a light/fair skin tone)
- It doesn't blend into the skin entirely (cakey effect)
- Skin tends to break out after frequent usage

This blemish balm is recommended for people with medium/tanned and dry skin!
If you're easily breaking out with acne, please avoid this one.
