This is my skin type:
Combination skin. Rather dry in the morning, tends to get oily during the day.
I also have a highly sensitive skin and I easily have break-outs.
My reaction at first use:
Its the first time ever that I'm using a blemish balm and I was extremely curious about this type of "beauty" product. At first I asked around for a bit to see what my friends are currently using and if they would recommend it to me. Only one or two Dutch/Chinese friends were using the Missha blemish balms and they claimed to be in love with this. So I ordered this one right away and I was excited at first use. "This feels smooth and smells fantastic!" Though I was worried about the colors available. I already ordered the most fair one and this one is really too dark for me. If you have a fair skin tone I recommend to use an extremely fair toned concealing power to finish your look or finish with a highlighter if you need to.
After several months of use:
I still use this blemish balm for busy days where I need to look my best. For example, at school or at work. I learned that for me its best not to fully cover my face with this balm since it will look like a tanned/brown mask on my face. I just use this on my cheeks, eyes, neck and nose to reduce the redness I have on my face. Since this balm has a grayish tone to it, it will work if you want to reduce warmth in your face. If you're lacking color I wouldn't recommend this balm. I also tend to avoid putting this on my forehead since the SPF is high and way too oily for me.
What I like:
- The scent, it smells really good and baby-like
- The texture, its easy to apply on your face
- Great coverage, it really balances your skin tone
What I dislike:
- The colors available (avoid if you have a light/fair skin tone)
- It doesn't blend into the skin entirely (cakey effect)
- Skin tends to break out after frequent usage
This blemish balm is recommended for people with medium/tanned and dry skin!
If you're easily breaking out with acne, please avoid this one.
